"I'm good at IT. But I feel for music."
— Randall Hunt, Founder
I provide audio mixing and mastering services, as well as audio restoration. I am a creative mixer — unless you tell me otherwise, I'll add effects to the music to carry the vibe. I like experimenting with sound, and I'm not opposed to bending the rules a bit to carry the emotion of the song.
I'm in my 5th decade on this planet, and I've studied music, in all of its forms, my entire life. Opening this studio is, for the most part, me finally recognizing where my passion really lies — and while I'm good at IT, I actually feel for music.

A Lifetime of Music. A New Chapter in Sound.
My journey with music started decades ago and has continued to evolve throughout my life. I have studied, explored, and experienced music in many different forms, always driven by curiosity and a deep appreciation for the emotions that sound can create.
Digital Affect Studio represents my decision to finally dedicate myself to the craft that has always been closest to me. While my professional mixing and mastering journey is beginning, my connection with music is not. Years of listening, learning, experimenting, and understanding sound have shaped the way I approach every project.
I believe great mixing is not only about technical accuracy — it is about understanding the feeling behind a song and helping artists communicate that emotion clearly. My goal is to support musicians by bringing more depth, character, and life to their work.
Every project starts with a listen. Tell me the feeling you're chasing, and we'll build the sound around it.

The final polish. Ensuring your record translates from studio monitors to car speakers to earbuds — without losing its soul.
Rescuing recordings from noise, hum, and decay. Bringing clarity back to voices and performances that deserve to be heard.
Each project is presented in three stages: rough tracking → creative mix → final master. Toggle between them to hear the emotional lift.

Ava Solene · Neo-Soul
Warm harmonic saturation on the Rhodes, intimate vocal air, and a bass that finally sits in the pocket. The master keeps the late-night hush intact.

The Quiet Hours · Alternative Indie
Analog tape restoration on the original tracking, a wide cinematic mix, and a master that opens up the top end without losing the record's grain.

Isla Marín · Ambient Folk
Hushed dynamics preserved end-to-end. Fingerpicked guitar close-mic'd, room reverb blended by hand, and a translucent master that never overreaches.
Randall heard something in the record that we couldn't quite articulate — and then he mixed exactly that. The vocal sits inside the song like it's breathing, not on top of it.
The master translated everywhere — car, phones, monitors, the little kitchen speaker. Warm, wide, and honest. It finally sounds like the record we heard in our heads.
He restored an old cassette of my grandfather playing guitar and mixed it into one of my new songs. I cried the first time I heard it. That's the whole point, isn't it.
Share the details of your project and the feeling you're chasing. I'll get back with a quote and next steps.
